How to Apply
Thank you very much for your interest in Weald of Kent Grammar School. Entrance to Weald of Kent is through successful completion of either the Kent Test or Weald Grammar Assessment.
If you feel that your child would be suited to a grammar school education, you should complete and submit the registration form for the Weald of Kent Grammar School Assessment between 1 June 2026 and 10 July 2026.
Applications submitted by this deadline will receive confirmation, including details of test arrangements and arrival times. Late applications will not be accepted after 10 July 2026.
Assessment Information
- Weald of Kent Grammar Assessment: Saturday 12 September 2026
- Location: Weald of Kent Grammar School – Tonbridge Campus
The Weald of Kent assessment consists of:
- English paper (1 hour)
- Mathematics paper (1 hour)
The assessment is paper-based and uses OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheets. All questions are based on the Key Stage 2 curriculum up to the end of Year 5.
Next Steps
Following the assessments:
- 15 October 2026: Results are sent to parents
- 31 October 2026: Deadline to submit the Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF)
- 1 March 2027: National Offer Day
- 15 March 2027: Deadline for parents to accept the offered school place
