Sixth Form Applications: external candidates

Applications for external students for September 2027 entry will be open from 9 October 2026. 

Students not currently attending Weald of Kent Grammar School should apply for a place using the online form via the link here. 

Entrance Criteria for the Sixth Form (September 2027 entry)
The minimum requirement for entry to the Sixth Form at
Weald of Kent Grammar School is:

• An average point score of 5.5 across the best eight GCSE subjects
• A grade 5 in GCSE English Language or GCSE English Literature
• A grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics

Oversubscription Criteria
If the Sixth Form is oversubscribed, the following criteria will be applied in priority order:

1. Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children
2. Students eligible for Pupil Premium
3. Current Family Association (siblings at the school at the time of admission)
4. Health and Special Access Reasons (with supporting evidence)
5. Children of Permanent Members of Staff
6. Average point score of best eight GCSEs
