Ofsted visited our school on November 9th 2022 to carry out a monitoring inspection. This is the standard next step following a judgement of ‘requires improvement’, which was published in July 2022. The purpose of a monitoring inspection is to make a single judgement: either (a) leaders have made progress to improve the school, or (b) leaders have made insufficient progress to improve the school.
We are pleased to report that Ofsted judged that ‘leaders have made progress to improve the school’. We had a productive day with the inspection team who carried out a thorough evaluation of our school improvement plan against their observations and the discussions they held with pupils and staff. The lead inspector recognised the various strategies that have been put in place since April 2022, and also highlighted areas for us to keep focusing on. As a school, we keep moving forward with the plan put in place this year to retain what is great about our school, and to make the changes necessary to rectify areas that require improvement.
