Actor Steven Cree visits Weald of Kent
On Friday 15th April, Weald of Kent was visited by actor Steven Cree, who gave an entertaining talk about his acting career followed by a Q&A session. Forty students from across the year groups attended the event, held in the school library - and quite a few staff came along too!
Steven is perhaps best known for playing Ian Murray in Outlander and students were amused to hear of the challenge of playing a character with a wooden leg! As we are commemorating 400 years since the death of Shakespeare, the highlight of the event was hearing about Steven’s experience of playing Lennox in National Theatre Live: Macbeth alongside Kenneth Branagh in the lead role.
